Wedding Talk Wednesday: Florist and To-Do List

Hey all! Back for a quick WTW. I am SOOOO excited to be able to say that we are having Isn't She Lovely Florals do the flowers and wedding design for our wedding!!! Krissy and Sharon worked with Kelsey on her wedding and they just blew me away and I knew I HAD to meet with them. I know they are going to help bring my vision of a timeless and classy wedding to life and that makes me feel so relived. All I am going to say about the wedding flowers is that I love peonies and the centerpieces will be romantic and dramatic.

Yesterday we also made the final selection for Shane's and the groomsmen's attire!!! The wedding will be black tie optional and their outfits will definitely reflect that. :) Seeing Shane in his outfit made me SOOOO HAPPY and he looked the way I always imagined he would when I see him at the altar. I am glad that we are done with these selections it was stressing me out not having something finalized.

I have a lot already done for the wedding but right not what is left on my to-do list is to:
- send out save the dates {NEXT WEEK! YAY}
- finalize bridesmaid dresses*** {major priority right now}
- go to our tasting in two weeks at our venue and work on cake design
- meeting with vendors
- finish up some accessory stuff for my wedding dress
- book our officiant
- do a wedding hair and makeup trial {still have only vague ideas}
- book honeymoons haha yes two {more to come later on that}

an I am sure there is many things I still need to do that is not on this list but I will get to everything in time.

well I think that is all for now. They are pouring the slab for our house on Saturday and I am so excited! Then Monday exterior walls should start going up. I will post some updated photos soon! :)

Wedding Talk Wednesday: Kelsey & Alex's Nautical Naples Wedding!!

Ok so I know its like 11:00pm on Wednesday but whatever lets talk weddings!!

This past Saturday 8/3/13 one of my close friends Kelsey got married to her high school sweetheart Alex. I was a bridesmaid {for the first time} and it was awesome. Kelsey is also a bridesmaid in my wedding and we have gone through the planning process together.

The wedding ceremony was at the North Naples Methodist Church and the reception was at The Bay House which was the PERFECT venue for a nautical themed wedding.

I feel so lucky to have been apart of their special day an it makes me more anxious for my wedding day to arrive ;).

So lets get into the amazing pictures!

Picture of Shane and I before the rehearsal dinner. I obviously wore my You Gotta Regatta dress because of the nautical theme. {Side note: I got the gold lilly pulitzer belt the day before on sale for 24$ holla!}

The ceremony program. DM Paper designs did this and they are doing my wedding to. Debra is amazing!

Ceiling of the church! It was just amazing

First time bridesmaid next up BRIDE :)

Here comes the bride!

Princess Kelsey! I kept telling her this all day because she seriously looked like a princess.

Bridesmaids :)

LOVEEE the centerpieces. I literally walked into the room and died. Isn't She Lovely Florals styled and designed the wedding and did the flowers as well. I thought I had my florist but after seeing the amazing work they did for Kelsey I immediately made an appointment with them for next week on my birthday!

See why I said they picked the best venue? There are boats on the ceiling!

This was the parents table and I just LOVEEE these arrangements.

Glow stick bar. Which was an awesome idea and super cool to have later in the night.

Arrangements for the bridal party table

These candle holder are from Kelsey's mom furniture store and I died over them. I need them for my house asap.

The outrageously AMAZING candy bar. Shane and I were blown away.

Cutting the cake

Shane and I had such an amazing time at this wedding and we are so grateful to have been apart of it. The happy couple is currently honeymooning in Amsterdam, Norway, and then finishing in France. I wish them all the best and I love you Kelsey!

Wedding Talk Wednesday! Ceremony and Cocktail Music :)

I literally JUST realized it was Wednesday and I needed to get a blog post up. This post is about who we are having for our ceremony and cocktail hour music. I have known for a very long time that I wanted to walk down the aisle to Pachelbel's Canon in D and that meant I needed a string quartet. At least if I wanted it to sound the way I wanted. So I looked at the list of recommended vendors from our venue and started calling people. I also went online to listen to their online music and I fell in love with the Vanderbilt String Quartet. You can check out their website and audio gallery here. The thing that really sold me was that they also play different genres of music which will be perfect for the cocktail hour. Their music styles include Classical, Jazz, Latin, Rock and Pop which I thought was just the coolest thing. Shane got me hooked on Vitamin String Quartet a year or two ago and its a string quartet that does like Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, and some rock covers and it is awesome music to listen to. With them I can have both the classical for the ceremony and then for the cocktail hour have fun, hip, current songs played. Although Shane and I will be taking pictures during the cocktail hour I feel confident that the music will be awesome and really set the mood for our reception band.

Side note the other day Shane texted me and goes... "Hey I just heard this song called Canon in D and its is really good we should have it at the ceremony." And I just died haha. Although I have told him at least 3-5 times that is the song I am walking down the aisle to I just laughed. It was so sweet and so reassuring that he loved it on his own. I just love that man :)

I have a couple fun blog posts coming up including my summer makeup routine and products I use as well as a post about my workout routine and things I have been doing to get in tip top shape for the wedding.

Hope y'all are enjoying these wedding posts :)

Wedding Talk Wednesday!

Hey y'all!

It is Wednesday again! This post will be about our RECEPTION MUSIC.

We went to +Caroline Galati's amazing wedding last July in Naples and they had the BEST band ever! Shane and I danced ALL night long and we had sooo much fun. They played the best songs at the best times and I never wanted to leave the dance floor. After seeing that band there I knew I just had to have them. At that time I was not currently engaged haha so I just kept them in the back of my mind for when the time finally came.

And then…. we got engaged and literally the 2nd thing we booked was…. The Brett Foreman Band. I literally called them before I think we even have a date totally booked at the beach club and told them I wanted them for our wedding.

I am so excited to marry Shane on March 8th but I am SOOO excited to dance the night away with him to all the amazing songs the band will be playing. We do already have our first dance song picked out but I think I will keep that a secret :)

If you are coming to our wedding just get ready to dance the night away and wake up with sore feet and legs the next morning! :)

Toodles

Wedding Talk Wednesday!!

So I thought it would be fun for the next couple of Wednesdays to share details, and vendors for my upcoming wedding. I have most of the vendors booked and deposits paid which makes me a happy happy happy bride to be :). This week will be about our VENUE.

After looking at MANY different places all over Naples we decided on The Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club. It is a staple here in Naples, right on the beach, and Shane and I both love it. It has a place in our past because during high school, homecoming, proms, and senior skip days were held there.

People ask me what my theme for the wedding is and I reply "timeless." I want a classy, traditional, and above all timeless wedding. I want to be able look back at our wedding photos 20 years from now an our wedding still be able to have taken place yesterday. Having the beach hotel as our venue will set the tone for the wedding and create a timeless an elegant setting.

The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place on the lawn facing the beach and the reception will be held in the newly renovated Everglades Room.

You can check out the Naples Beach Hotel Here
