Hey Y'all!

I am sharing just a few photos from a quick #girlstrip to Sarasota to meet up with one of my most favorite people, Michelle. She was in  town briefly from Seattle and Devon Alana and I had to go see her. We had so much fun. We cooked pizza the night before, drank wine, and watched movies. The next day we went to check out University Town Center in Lakewood Ranch and do some shopping. That mall was pretty awesome. I especially loved the Arhaus they had! So much home decor inspiration I was in heaven.

My friend Michelle just launched her own Style Blog: Louis and Louis and I am obsessed with it! She has the best style and I love all the outfits she has posted so far.

Photo credit goes to the always amazing and talented Devon Alana. She has styled this crop top in a few different ways and you should definitely check it out.

I hope everyone has a great Friday and a nice weekend! I don't have too many plans this weekend, but I am sure something fun will pop up. Thanks for reading :)

Night Golfing

Hey hey!

We decided to do some night golfing last Saturday night, and it was such a blast! I will be honest Shane really had to talk me into going. I don't play golf {and I have no interest in playing #sorrynotsorry} so I was just going to ride along. I was surprised by how fun it was, especially with a big group of people {and I didn't even play}. We played at The Links of Naples and started around 7:30pm and ending at 11pm {when they closed}. The course was pretty good {a lot of par threes}. The employees were very helpful and accommodating to our group I would definitely recommend this for a group outing to anyone in the Naples area. The course is quite far from our home. About a 30-40 minute drive for us.

I always like to dress for the occasion and once I decided to go I knew this polo and skort would be perfect. The trans-dry fabric is amazing, it is very lightweight and the fit is really great {for me at least}. What I love about Lilly Pulitzer's solid colors is that they are reoccurring and often come back seasons later. I have shorts from 2 years ago and new solid colors that came out this year match back to them. I really wish LP would come out with sleeveless polo shirts again. I would love them for tennis, and everyday life. Customers have told me that they wear LP skorts to play tennis, but I personally need an extremely stretchy fabric when I play.

I love sharing my weekend adventures on the blog and I hope you guys enjoy them as well. My friend is having a BBQ tomorrow for Memorial Day and I am planning on wearing this fun one-piece bathing suit {just released this past week by LP}. I have been searching for a good fitting one-piece and I definitely got what I needed with this one.

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend and enjoyed a day off {if they had one}

Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale!

So excited for the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale! Some of my favorite products from skincare to shoes, clothing and jewelry are all on sale. I was lucky enough to snag the Tory Burch wedges shown above and I know I am going to get so much use out of them this summer{and beyond}. They run SMALL, I got a size 7.5 and I am usually 6.5-7 in Tory Burch shoes.

I was not able to get the State dress shown above in my size but I will be checking back hoping they get one in as a return.

A ton of the skincare products I use everyday are on sale as well! Philosophy is my favorite brand for skincare and I cannot live without my products from there. If you have never tried Purity or Purity wipes I highly suggest you run and get these. Once you try them I think you will love how clean and makeup free your face feels. They also donate a portion of all their proceeds to Mental Health research and May is Mental Health Awareness Month so its a great time to try their products!

Some of my favorite pieces of jewelry I wear on a daily basis are from Kendra Scott. I LOVE the Arden cuff shown above and the sale price is amazing so I quickly added that to my cart as well.

I have the Paige denim jacket shown above but I paid full price for it. I LOVE it and will be taking it with me to Europe. I would highly recommend this jean jacket and the price right now is great. For reference I own a size XS in that jacket.

Kut from the Kloth is one of my favorite brand of jeans and they have a few pairs on sale now. I linked one of them above.

Kate Spade is always a good idea and I love that scallop tote pictured above! Scallops for Spring and Summer are a must have.

I hope you guys have fun shopping the sale as well as an amazing Memorial Day Weekend! Be safe and have fun!

Hey there!
Shane and I went out for a quick date night a few days ago to one of our favorite local Mexican restaurants. I thought I would take a few pictures and share what I wore. When I am out running around town I tend to dress casual, and comfortable. I just got these amazing white shorts from J. Crew and I am obsessed. I have been wearing them a bunch. The fabric is so stretchy, I am all about it {3 cheese enchiladas later}. This hat has been on repeat as well. I wore it this weekend {loved it for a boat day} and it might make another appearance over the Memorial Day Weekend.

My good friend and fellow blogger Devon Alana helped me shoot some of these photos. Check out her blog and Etsy shop HERE. I actually saw the necklace I am wearing on her blog and loved it so much I had to get it. It goes perfectly over so many tops an I love the layered look it gives.

What do y'all wear for a casual date night? I would love to hear what your go to's are!
Thanks for reading  :)

Boat Day!

{cutest ice cream boat named "In the Pink"}

Coverup Lilly Pulitzer // Bathing suit Lilly Pulitzer {I LOVE this print!} // Beach Tote Lilly Pulitzer // Hat J Crew // Sandals Lilly Pulitzer // Sunglasses Kate Spade

It may not officially be summer yet. but it sure is hot like summer here in Naples.
We decided to head out to Keewaydin Island with some of our friends on Saturday and it felt great to be out on the boat knowing we've got months more of these days coming. We had a blast out there all day. On our way back we had to keep with tradition and jump into the Gulf. After we got back we just headed to our house, got take-out and relaxed. It was such a fun day. I am looking forward to many more this summer :)

I got this coverup a few weeks ago and I have been saving it for the perfect outing. This will definitely be in my suitcase for Europe {this entire outfit actually}. It is so comfortable! I am obsessed with crocheted clothing at the moment and have slowly been adding them to my wardrobe this spring. I am also kind of obsessed with this J. Crew hat. I rarely wear hats but I like the way this one fits and looks. I got a small/med size. I appreciate that they did them in sizes because one size fits all hats never fit me.

Iwant to do a quick rave review on a sunscreen I tried for the first time a few weeks ago and I love it! Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Touch I was amazed after the first time using it that it didn't make my skin break out. I have used it multiple times since then and still no irritation. In the past, I have only used Neutrogena sunscreen and I wasn't expecting the HT to not break me out so I have been pleasantly surprised. It also has some shimmer in it, which is awesome! Also, unexpected, but I like it!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Thanks for reading!

European Vacation Prep

Hey Everyone!
Shane and I are planning for our European adventure in a few weeks and I wanted to share a few things I have been doing to prepare. I have visited Europe in the past with my Momma on a few occasions. We did some really amazing things and I am just DYING of excitement that I get to do some of those things with my husband. He has never been to Europe so this trip is going to be truly memorable.

One of the first things I did after we started booking the trip was to head to Amazon.com and order Rick Steves' Guidebooks for Italy 2015 Rick Steves Italy 2015Rick Steves' Mediterranean Cruise Ports, and the Rick Steves' Pocket ParisHe has some of the best information on everything including: hotels, restaurants, self-guided tours, shopping suggestions {of course} and more. The Mediterranean Cruise Ports book has been especially helpful with planning our time in each port. We want to see as much as we can in a short period and this book gave great insight. In his guidebooks Rick suggests that you tear the specific sections you need out of the guidebooks and take them to a place to be bound. That way you don’t have to carry around the entire book. I plan on having this done soon.

After spending a few weeks reading the guidebooks I started to create our itinerary. I searched all over the Internet for travel itinerary templates and I did not find any that I liked. I am a mostly visual person so I want to be able to see each day laid out in front of me. When in doubt, create it yourself. So I did. Below I will show you an example of the template I created using Word. It was super easy but effective for what I want. I started the first draft with things roughly laid out based on the times and information I already knew. I printed a few copies and then went BACK to the guidebooks and filled in necessary information by hand. After that I went back into the Word document and typed it all in. I am planning on making the itinerary pocket size and laminating it before we leave as a quick reference guide. Like, “Where should you be right now?” I think this will be extremely helpful keeping us on track and ON TIME during our travels.

BOAT LEAVES PORT!

Above is the second draft of our itinerary. I still have more things to fill in but it is getting there.

Packing. Just the thought stresses me out. I am an over packing extraordinaire. But really, I am a miracle packer. At times it’s a problem. I have VOWED to not over pack for this trip. We are both bringing a suitcase and we are packing two empty carry on bags {for all the wine and clothes} for the way back. What makes packing for this trip a little difficult for me is that we will be staying both on land and on a the boat at different points in time and different locations. We stay in Rome 3 nights in a hotel then we get on the boat {as you can see above}. We are on the boat for 7 nights, then we head to Paris for 4 nights. There is also 2 days of travel. My wardrobe does include a few really great dresses from Lilly Pulitzer that I want to wear on the boat for dinners so I will be packing those. While we are in Rome and Paris I want to try and blend in and not attract too much attention by how we are dressed so I am going to be packing tons of neutrals. Summer dresses, jean jackets and flats will also packed. With ALL that said, I don’t have a specific packing list that I use. I am going to put together all my clothes as outfits {worn multiple ways} so that everything has a purpose.

Now here is some advice my Momma always gave me that we will be following. Always have multiple copies of your passport printed out since you won’t be carrying around the hard copy sightseeing. Register with the U.S. Embassy online so that they are aware you will be in the country. Better safe than sorry. Get a money belt! Rick Steves suggests these as well.

If you guys have any travel tips or suggestions I would LOVE to hear them. I will be sharing as many photos of our trip as I can on the blog and instagram so definitely follow along! Thanks for reading :).
