Dinner At Home...

Dinner in our home is most often casual, but there are times when I want to make something extra yummy and elevate the dining experience. Earlier this week I made Basil Kale Pesto spaghetti for Shane and I. It is such an easy recipe and we always have leftovers for days. I pulled out our beautiful Prickard China to serve the dinner on. This was the china we registered for, for our wedding and I love any occasion to use it.

Basil Kale Pesto Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup olive oil
1 cup grate Parmesan cheese
3 medium cloves of garlic
2 cups of fresh basil leaves
2 cups of fresh kale leaves
3 tablespoons of pine nuts
1/4 teaspoon salt
Pinch of black pepper

1. Place all the ingredients into a blender or food processor
2. Blend together until smooth

When I make this recipe I like to make it a creamy pesto. Once I make the sauce, I transfer it to a pot and put it on the stove. I add heavy cream {maybe 1/2 a cup or a bit more} and mix it together and bring the sauce to a simmer. This recipe is also great for pizza and many many more delicious food options.
I hope everyone has an amazing Friday and a great weekend! Thanks for reading.
