Tahiti, French Polynesian Islands

As promised I have a more detailed post on our recent trip to the french polynesian islands. Our first stop on the trip was 4 days in Tahiti at the Intercontinental Resort
While we were planning this vacation our travel agent suggested that we visit more than just Bora Bora so we decided to split up the vacation and visit Tahiti, Moorea, and Bora Bora. Tahiti was the first stop for us. We arrived around 9pm {there time} the first night and a lot of people were staying at the Intercontinental as well.
After spending a few days there we realized that most people do not stay in Tahiti too long. Most people only stay for a night or two. You have to fly into Tahiti first and then get on another plane to travel to the other islands.
The hotel was very nice and we loved our overwater bungalow with a view of the mountains and sail boats.

While we were in Tahiti we wanted to do a few excursions so we decided to do a tour of the mountains and inside the old volcano. It was so beautiful and I loved all the waterfalls!

 Coral right off our bungalow

We both agreed that if we went back we would not plan to stay in Tahiti for that long again. The hotel overall was really nice and we were pleased with the service we received. You just have to remember that you are at a resort on an island so the cost of things {breakfast, drinks} is escalated.
If anyone has any questions about our trip leave a comment!
Thanks for reading!
