Hello hello! It's been a minute since I published a blog post. Yikes. Worst blogger ever lol.

I am back today with a glimpse into the recent trip I made with my best girlfriends to Saugatuck, Michigan. My best friend Morgan found us the cabin and all the places we went to during our stay. We like to do the MOST on trips and we really packed it in on this one.

{Friday}

We arrived Friday afternoon, driving in from Chicago. I flew in from Fort. Myers to Chicago and then met up with everyone for the drive. The drive was relatively easy once we were out of the city. The hardest part for us was getting out of the Budget parking garage in the city. I can't get into it but trust me... we looked like freaks who couldn't drive. When we arrived we headed to our cabin to drop our bags and then out for lunch. Our first meal was at The Butler overlooking the waterway and it was a great welcome meal. Later that evening we headed out for dinner and we went to Coast 236. They must have seen us coming because they stuck us at a table that was secluded from everyone else. I am sure everyone else at the establishment was thankful because we are quite the rowdy bunch. After dinner we headed to The Annex for some live piano. After a few drinks there we headed to The Corner Bar. This was more of a local's type place but we enjoyed it. After that we went back to the cabin to make a fire and continue the festivities there.

{Saturday}

For brunch we headed to Crane's Orchard in Fennville. It was the most adorable place! Beautiful scenery outside and very cute inside with all the old timey trinkets and newspaper cut outs. We enjoyed a fabulous meal, tried their Cider which was delicious and bought one of their homemade pies. Next, we headed to Fenn Valley Winery which was also beautiful. I highly recommend you DON'T try the Party Sangria. Just trust me. We sat outside there for awhile too and it was amazing. They had a pergola over looking the orchard and we loved the scenery. After that we headed to Modales Winery which was also a favorite. They had tractor rides going on which we were a bit too cold for. We mostly drank cider there as well. It's so yummy on a crisp Fall day. When we were done there we decided to go back to downtown Saugatuck. We stopped at Wick's and Wally's for drinks and did some shopping in the local shops. The local shops had some really unique items. One of my favorite things to do on vacation is get a nice buzz going and go shopping. I am who I am. LOL. Once we had terrorize all the shops and bars downtown we decided to head back to our cabin to start a fire and get in the hot tub.

{Sunday}

We headed out for brunch to Pumpernickels and it was delicious. We sat outside which was cold but it was great people watching. Lots of dogs and cute kids walking by throughout our meal. We did a bit more shopping in the downtown area before heading back to Chicago. On our way back to Chicago we stopped at an orchard in Indiana where we bought apple butter, pumpkin pie, hot cider and more. It was mostly outside and they had some live music going. We hung out there for awhile and stretched out legs before getting back into the city.

We had the most amazing time and I kept saying we have to come back every year. The town was SO cute especially during this time of the year. Their season is more in the summer so it was slower but that was nice for us especially because we were a larger group.

Here is a link to the cabin we stayed in.
